Grimsby Town v Histon - Match Report
Grimsby earned themselves their first home win of the season, coming from behind with a late winner to beat an improving but frankly unlucky Histon 2-1. The result was disappointing to say the least, considering Histon had not only taken the lead, but dominated the proceedings in the lead up to half time.

Histon v Kettering Town - Match Report
Histon crashed to their first home loss of the season on Saturday, when Kettering swept into the Glassworld and took three points with a 3-0 victory. An early penalty from Kettering's Senegalese striker Jean-Paul Marna was a setback the Stutes never really recovered from, and further goals from Serge Makofo ten minutes after half time, and Marcus Kelly in the closing stages rounded off a convincing win for the visitors.

The bucket collection yesterday at the Histon v Kettering match raised £125. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

The money raised will be used to help pay coach costs for the team to get to the Hayes and Yeading fixture next Saturday.

300 CLUB: August draw announced
The August draw for the 300 Club took place today. The winners are listed here.

The 300 Club was introduced over 5 years ago (as the 100 Club) and has, since then, raised in excess of £26,000. These funds have provided a life-line to the Club’s funds over the years and have been used to provide improvements both on and off the pitch at Histon Football Club.

With around 200 members at the present time, the aim is to increase this number to 300 by the end of the 2010-2011 Season.

This evening Histon Football Club and John Beck have agreed to terminate with immediate effect John's involvement with Histon FC. John is much admired as a coach and the Directors of Histon FC wish John well for the future. Brian Page will be looking after First Team affairs in a temporary capacity until a further announcement is made.

The Reserves need YOUR support!
The Reserve team play their first home fixture of the season against Mildenhall Town tonight, Wednesday 18th, k.o. 7.45pm. The first three away matches have been tough, and they could certainly do with some support, so why not get along to the Glass World and cheer them on? Admission is only £4 for adults, £2 concessions and £1 under 16s. Season ticket holders are admitted free.

The Reserves are playing at home again on Saturday. If you are not going to Newport, why not get down to the Glass World again to cheer them on against Woodbridge Town? Kick off 3pm, and they'd be glad of your support.

The Summer Squares draw held yesterday raised £1119 for the Club. Many thanks to all who took part, a full list of prizewinners will be published shortly.

The Bucket Collection taken yesterday raised £104, which will be spent on first aid and medical equipment. Many thanks to the supporters, staff and players from Histon and Barrow who contributed.

Congratulations and a big thank you to all the children that successfully completed the first of two Histon FC holiday courses this summer.

The course was a great success with over 40 children taking part during the week. Each day at the 3 day event was completely different from the other with high quality technical sessions, skills games and a world cup day taking place. ..

We can confirm that loan deals have today been completed for Romone McCrae and Danny Mills from Peterborough Utd (both for the season) and Lee Wootton and Femi Ilesanmi from Dagenham & Redbridge. Lee will be with us for the season whilst Femi joins initially on a one month loan with a view to extending further.
