On Friday afternoon the FA released the draws for the three competitions in which our teams are competing again this year.
In the Emirates FA Cup we will start in the Preliminary Round with a trip to the winners of the Extra Preliminary Round tie between Newport Pagnell Town and Peterborough Northern Star. The game is expected to be played on Saturday 21st August 2021.
The Buildbase FA Trophy 2nd Qualifying Round has also given us an away trip, this time to our old friends and rivals at Corby Town, who we will also come up against during this season’s league campaign of course. That game is due to be played at Steel Park on Saturday 9th October.
Our Under 18s will start their FA Youth Cup campaign with a trip to Ely City in the Preliminary Round and that game will be played during the week commencing Monday 30th August. The winners of that game will visit either Needham Market or AFC Sudbury in the 1st Qualifying Round a couple of weeks later.
As always, once final details for all of these games have been confirmed we’ll announce them through the usual channels.
