FINANCIAL HELP FOR BOYS AND GIRLS FROM THE THODAY FUND
The youth structure at Histon FC benefits from a trust fund established by the late Cynthia Thoday, a long time supporter of Histon FC and wife of Bill Thoday also a supporter, and goalkeeper for the First Team for many years. Cynthia wanted to support the development and participation of young people in local football and in particular, Cynthia wished Thoday funding to be used to assist boys and girls from families whose financial circumstances mean that they are unable to meet, or would have difficulty in meeting, the financial costs (including payment of subscriptions or purchase of kit) of their involvement in the Club.
If you are aware of any case where the Thoday Fund could be used to help a youngster in this way, please raise this in confidence with the Head of Youth Football, Scholarship Head Coach, or any other manager, coach or official at the Club. Requests will be referred to the Thoday Fund through the Club Secretary or Chairman. Alternatively, if you would prefer not to raise a case through Club channels, you can contact the Thoday Fund’s solicitor, David Parker of Thomson Webb and Corfield in Histon, on 01223 518317.
