New Manager Chris Nunn has wasted no time in getting a couple of new faces in through the door at Bridge Road as he prepares to take the team for the first time at Daventry Town tomorrow.
Defender Jake Kerins joins from AFC Rushden & Diamonds and striker Jim Burnside comes in from Leighton Town. Our thanks go to both clubs for their understanding in allowing these moves to be completed so quickly.
24 year old Kerins is a versatile, mainly right-sided defender and is well known to the manager having played for him both at Kempston Rovers and of course at Diamonds. He’s also played at Biggleswade Town, Mildenhall Town and St Neots Town.
31 year old striker Jim Burnside also has Diamonds connections having joined them in January from Real Bedford before moving on to a player/coach role at Leighton Town in the summer, from where he joins us now. Stutes supporters may remember him from his Newport Pagnell Town days where he played until the end of the 2012/22 season, with his last appearance for the Swans coming at Wembley in the FA Vase Final.
Both are available straight away and both go into the squad for tomorrow’s game.
Welcome to Histon Jake and Jim!
