Histon Football Club is delighted that Issac Hines, of the successful 2021/22 Stutes U13’s side, has signed Academy forms with Football League side, Ipswich Town.
Having played a part in 17 EJA fixtures this past term, scoring on 6 occasions, this is not the first time a club higher up the pyramid has come knocking.
On the youngsters move, manager Lee Keen had to add, “Isaac came to us at the start of the season and has worked tremendously hard in both the Norwich Elites, and Histon EJA environments. He secured a full trial with the Norwich City Academy, but sadly he was released. But from that disappointment he was snapped up by Ipswich Town, and he is now an academy player there. Special mentions to the coaches that have developed Isaac from an early age at Norwich City, Clive Taylor and Mark Tyler in the last couple of years. I have been at many of the Elite sessions listening and learning from the excellent coaches. It highlights the importance of the partnership between Histon and Norwich City. This just goes to show how football is. From every closed door another one opens, sometimes not immediately like this, but if you have the talent and the determination to succeed you will get your opportunities in life and football. I am obviously delighted for Isaac, Lynda, and Shawn. It is very well deserved, I will miss Isaac terribly as he was such a great lad, and character in the dressing room.”
All at Bridge Road wish Isaac, and his family all the very best, as he embarks on his next steps within the game.
