Histon FC is delighted to again be hosting the Cambridge Chinese Federation’s Football Tournament and Moon Festival at Bridge Road this coming Sunday 15th Sept. The event is being run by the Chinese and Hong Kong community who will be gathering in Histon to celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Moon Festival and to take part in the Hong Kong Cup, which will feature teams from Bishop’s Stortford, Reading, Milton Keynes and Cambridge. There is also a junior football tournament commencing at around 10.30 am in which both the Histon Hornets and Trumpington FC have entered teams.
One of the highlights of the day is likely to be the Chinese Lion Dance performance symbolizing good luck and fortune which will take place at around 11.00 am.
The event runs from 10.00 am until 4.00 pm with everyone welcome to attend and enjoy the unique atmosphere created by the authentic Honk Kong street food and market stalls.
Entrance is free with funds also being raised for the Cambridge Street Aid Charity.
