Histon Football Club is pleased to formally welcome Craig Galbraith, who has recently joined the club as Sports Therapist. Craig will primarily be responsible for the treatment and well-being of the men’s first team and U18 sides.
Having been a qualified Sports Therapist for 10 years Craig has focused on injury recognition, treatment and prevention, working with local clubs and players at both the amateur and semi-professional levels of the game. He has also had experience treating athletes within a wide range of other sports.
His knowledge of the local game may well also prove valuable to Lance Key and his staff, having played for both Ely City and Newmarket Town for a number of years.
On his recent appointment to the role, Craig had the following to say; “The first few weeks at the club have been great. Everyone has made me feel really welcome and I already feel at home. All the lads from the first team and Under 18’s are great and have helped me settle in nicely. I am looking forward to being part of a really great set up. I have a good knowledge of football and have already started to develop a great relationship with everyone at the club. It is vital that we look after players physically and I feel that some clubs don’t prioritise this enough. Treatment and management of injuries are key and I will work with the management teams and players to guide, advise and support. My role is fundamentally to look after and treat the players which I hope in turn will help to bring success to the club. I also feel that I will give the club much more than this as I feel I bring a wealth of knowledge and hopefully my positive energy and character will help in the dressing room. #upthestutes”
We hope that Craig is not kept too busy managing injuries and his prevention keeps our squads in peak physical condition. Once again, welcome to Bridge Road!
