Support Your Local Hospice: Histon FC’s Partnership with Arthur Rank Hospice Charity
Histon FC has partnered with Arthur Rank Hospice Charity for the remainder of the 2024/25 season and throughout the 2025/26 season, with the shared goal of raising vital funds and increasing awareness of the charity’s “Outstanding” services. Arthur Rank Hospice Charity provides services, free of charge, to over 3,800 patients each year living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition in Cambridgeshire.
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is pleased to be here for today’s match between Histon FC and G.N.G. Oadby Town, and we’d like to thank the generous supporter who made our attendance possible by donating advertising space and two matchdays for us to fundraise. We wish both teams the best of luck and look forward to an exciting match.

Histon FC has kindly gifted tickets to a family of a patient who was cared for by the charity and we thank Histon FC for providing them with this special matchday experience.

Jodie Vaughan, Income Generation and Communications Director at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, shared her thoughts on the partnership saying “We are incredibly grateful to Histon FC, and we’d like to thank the local business who have generously gifted us advertising space at the ground. Partnering with local organisations allows us to raise awareness of our services and the funds necessary to keep them running. Our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved!”
The charity’s services will cost over £13 million to run in 2024/2025. NHS contracts will cover £7.9 million, and with the help of our community, we need to raise a further £5.1 million.
Paul Smart, Finance Director at Histon FC, said “We’re proud to support such a deserving charity. Through the generosity of a kind sponsor, we’re able to help Arthur Rank Hospice Charity continue its vital work in our community. We look forward to raising much-needed funds over the next 18 months.”
Histon FC has kicked off its fundraising efforts, which included a quiz hosted in January, and has raised £160 already. We are incredibly grateful for the club’s efforts and amount raised so far. We will update you on the total raised after today’s match.
