We make the 168-mile round trip to the town of Banbury this weekend for part one of a double header against Easington Sports with the reverse fixture taking place at Bridge Road the following weekend.

Tomorrow’s fixture will be our third visit to Easington’s Addison Road ground, and hopefully it will be a case of third time lucky as our two previous visits both ended in defeat.  Last season we went down to the only goal of the game but were soundly beaten 3-0 the previous year.

This time around we will be without the services of Joe Sutton who is serving a one-game ban following his yellow card last Saturday.  But the hope is that Pharrell Anderson will be fit enough to play some part in the game following a lengthy period out of action through injury.

A win for the Stutes will not only give us the psychological advantage ahead of next week’s fixture.  It will also lift us above the Sports in the UCL Premier South table as they currently sit in 9th place, three points ahead of ourselves but with an inferior goal difference.

The Sports have won five of their seven home matches in the UCL this season with both March Town United and Yaxley coming away with all three points.  We will therefore be looking to extend the Cambridgeshire voodoo over the Oxfordshire side and bring the points home to Bridge Road.

Admission to the ground is £6 for adults and £4 for concessions. Under 16s are admitted for free. The postcode for your SatNav is OX16 9DH, but the local advice is to park in the nearby school car park in Springfield Avenue.  Kick-off is at 3.00pm.

Please note: National Highways are advising that the A421 will be closed on Saturday in both directions between the Renhold junction and the Black Cat roundabout.  A diversion is in place but you may wish to find an alternative route.
