Forde Park is the location for the second installment of The Stutes pre-season schedule, with Lance Key’s side looking to gain valuable minutes ahead of the upcoming UCL campaign.
Having negotiated a tricky test against a relatively familiar opponent in Mildenhall Town, we visit Langford who are likely to be an unknown quantity. The Reds ply their trade in the Spartan South Midlands League, Division One (Step 6) finishing in 17th place in the 20 team division last season. In recent they have consistently finished in the relative comfort of lower mid-table, with fourth place gained in the 2016/17 season. So far in the build up to their competitive campaign, Stuart Robertson and Graham Reynolds side have suffered defeats to neighbouring Barton Rovers and Arlesey Town.
Stutes boss Lance Key will likely be pleased with the run out his side gained on Tuesday evening, in particular the return of Danny Gould after 18 months on the sidelines. Ed Rolph opened his account for The Stutes in his second spell from a corner provided by Gould, giving his side the lead before Tanner Call equalised for the home side in the second period which saw a number of personnel changes.
Admission is FREE, so there is no reason not to make the relatively short trip to Bedfordshire!
