BetVictor Isthmian League North
Saturday 25th January 2020
Kick Off @ 3:00pm
We’re off to Burroughs Park tomorrow afternoon as we return to league action after last weekend’s postponement left us without a fixture.
Rovers are a point and two places ahead of us in the table and the winners tomorrow will keep themselves nicely positioned to push towards the play-off places.
Recent games at Burroughs Park have been tight affairs with Rovers struggling to find the net on their own turf. 0-1 defeats have come recently at the hands of both Maldon and Aveley with a 0-0 draw against Coggeshall in between. A difficult run of games to be sure but their away form in that time has been impressive with three wins on the spin in which they scored four times, 4-1 at both Dereham and Hullbridge and 4-2 at Cambridge City.
Our own away form has been inconsistent to say the least of late but Max York’s penalty at Brentwood a couple of weeks ago helped us record our first point on the road since November and tomorrow offers a chance for our first three point haul of 2020.
Lance reports no new injuries within the squad and could call on versatile and experienced defender Miles Smith to make another Stutes debut after he returned to the club a week ago.
