HISTON v SOHAM TOWN RANGERS
Pitching In Isthmian League North Division
Tuesday 29th September 2020
Kick Off @ 7.45pm
It’s been a long wait but 206 days after our last game at the Bridge we are finally ready to get back into action in front of our own supporters when we welcome Soham Town Rangers on Tuesday evening.
The mood is good in the camp following our opening day win at Heybridge Swifts and Lance will certainly have some decisions to make with regard to his team selection. Ed Rolph, Danny Gould, Andy Ballester and James Chivers are all expected to be available for selection again but does the Gaffer change a winning team?
Our visitors are of course well known to Stutes supporters and will include a number of familiar faces in their squad. We met twice last season, once in the league and once in the League Cup with goals from Lee Smith, Max York ad Ed Rolph securing all three league points at Julius Martin Lane in August whilst James Chivers’ late equaliser at the Bridge in October earned us a 1-1 draw in the League Cup.
Tickets are available to buy online ahead of this game and securing your ticket in this way helps us to speed up access into the stadium for supporters and protect our staff from handling cash at the turnstile so please consider getting yours in this way if you are coming to the game. Get your match tickets here.
For those that purchase in advance please have your eTicket ready to be scanned and you will then be able to enter the ground via the gate adjacent to the turnstile. It’s quick and easy as long as you have your eTicket ready on your phone or in paper form if you have chosen to print it out and bring it with you.
A cash turnstile will be open but we would ask all supporters to please have the correct money with you when you get to the turnstile if at all possible. Once through the turnstile you will be asked to provide your contact details for Test & Trace purposes and this can be done by scanning the NHS QR Code or EvePass QR Code, both of which will be easily visible once inside. Alternatively you can manually leave your details with our volunteer staff who will be on hand once you come through the turnstile.
Match day programmes will be available to buy once inside at a cost of £2 but again, please have the correct change with you if at all possible to help reduce the amount of cash handled by our volunteers. The first issue of the season (pictured left) includes a new column by the skipper Max York as well as updates from the board room, from the manager and news from our ladies and youth teams. It also features new signing Sam Reed on the front cover!
The bar and burger bar will be open but supporters are asked to respect the limitations on numbers allowed in these spaces, wear face masks when in the bar and follow the one-way system in place to access and exit. Please also use the floor markings as guides to maintain social distancing when queuing for the burger bar or indeed anywhere else in the stadium.
We are working hard to ensure the safety of everyone at the stadium so please bear with us as we, along with every other club, implement these measures for everybody’s benefit and we look forward to welcoming you all back to the Bridge!
