Today’s game goes ahead as planned, 3pm kick off
All being well we will get back to playing football this afternoon after a couple of weeks of weather-induced time off and Tilbury will be the visitors at Bridge Road for a 3:00pm kick off.
The Dockers have been on fire recently with a run of 9 wins and only 1 defeat from their last 12 games taking them up to 5th place in the league and well into contention for a play-off spot at the end of the season. That one defeat came on Monday evening when Brentwood Town brought their long unbeaten league run to an end.
That game was in fact only the Dockers second league defeat since we last played them and Stutes supporters won’t need reminding of how that game went as we suffered a 0-5 reverse. David Knight got three against us that day and the striker remains their leading scorer with 18 so far this season.
We haven’t played since that late, late defeat at Bury Town two weeks ago and at least one or two of the squad will have had a chance to get over knocks since then as Lance will have to juggle the side to cater for the absence of the suspended Sam Roach and Lee Smith.
Kick off is at 3:00pm but keep an eye open for updates regarding that possible pitch inspection.
