A run of four consecutive away matches gets under way on Tuesday night in what will undoubtedly be a testing period for Chris Nunn’s senior squad. First up is the trip to St Neots Town for the game that was postponed last month due to the Saints being involved in an FA Cup replay. We go to the Premier Plus Stadium having won four of our last five games, scoring 18 goals in the process, and with Connor Barnes in a particularly rich vein of form having netted six goals in six games since returning to the starting line-up after injury.
St Neots have won their last two home games, the latest being a 3-1 victory over Lutterworth Town last Saturday in which former Stute Rhys Thorpe scoring twice. Both Rhys and striking partner Kieran Barnes have already scored ten goals each for St Neots this season. The Saints currently occupy fifth place in the league table with six wins in their nine games. They are nine points behind the leaders but have played at least a couple of games fewer than all the teams above them. Given the start they have made, they will be justifiably confident of at least reaching the end of season play-offs for a second year running.
In the corresponding fixture last season, we trailed 3-0 with just a few minutes to play before mounting a determined fightback in the closing stages – only to finally go down by a 3-2 score line. Given the goal-scoring form both sides are in, a high scoring game could well be on the cards.
The traveling distance from Bridge Road is just 17 miles but take account of the roadworks just after Cambourne on the A428 when planning your journey. Kick-off is at 7.45pm and the postcode for your Sat Nav is PE19 6SL.
Parking inside the stadium complex is limited, but there are pay and display car parks outside the stadium entrance and at the Railway Station, which is only a 3-minute walk away.
Parking is also available in the Roundhouse School car park where visitors to the stadium can park free of charge on a first come first served basis.
Admission Prices are Adults – £7, Concessions – £5, U18s – £1, Under 5s – Free. There is no printed programme but one is available via a QR code at the ground or on the club’s twitter page.
Chris Nunn and the team would very much like your support at the game, so come along and make it a night to remember.
