Chris Nunn has added further firepower to his First team squad with the signing of forward player Pharrell Anderson.  The 20-year-old, who is a product of the AFC Rushden & Diamonds academy system, was with Cogenhoe United for the 2022/23 season, scoring an impressive 12 goals in 34 appearances for the Cooks in his first season in senior football.  He was then re-signed by Rushden for 2023/24 while Chris Nunn was still their manager and went on to make 23 appearances for the Step 4 outfit. He had a spell at Cambridge City towards the end of last season but has now linked up with Nunny for a second time as he looks to further his career at Bridge Road.  Pharrell’s signing follows that of Matty Allan as the manager looks to improve his striking options for the season ahead.

Pharrell was registered in time for him to be available for our opening game of the season at home to Northampton Sileby Rangers tomorrow, kicking off at Bridge Road at 3.00pm.  This will be our first competitive game in our new red and black striped shirts similar to those made famous during our halcyon years under Steve Fallon.  Gates and the upstairs bar open at 1.30pm with hot food available from the burger bar prior and throughout the game.
