We hosted our first pre-season game at The Bridge last night as Lance was able to try out a few things, take a look at two or three possible new signings and also was able to give some of our promising youngsters a proper test against senior opposition.
Ed Rolph gave us a first half lead and it looked like that was how it was going to end until two late goals in the space of a couple of minutes turned things around and the visitors ended as victors.
Last night’s squad:
Andy Ballester, Buster Harradine, Charlie Lewis, Dan Brown, Danny Gould, Ed Rolph, Finley Wilkinson, George Coy, James Chivers, Jonathan Peters, Lewis McDonald, Max York, Oliver Ward, Phil Peachey, Sam Roach, Simon Swinton. There were also three other triallists used for this game.
Although last night’s game had to be played behind closed doors, following the government announcement earlier his week we are planning to hold another home friendly in early September at which supporters will be allowed to attend and we will be able to test our Match Day Management Plan (currently being finalised). More details about this game will be published as soon as everything is in place.
In the meantime Lance takes the squad to Thetford Town on Wednesday evening and Mildenhall Town next Saturday afternoon.
